The nelfood.com Story

nelfood.com grew out of the Physical Properties of Food DataBase project.
This project was initiated to collect and make available on the internet reliable and useful data on Physical Properties of Foods.
The project was part funded by the EU, received commercial sponsership from Nestle, RHM and Unilever, was managed by Dr Paul Nesvadba, and the internet work was done by NEL.

Bibliographic Search
The Bibliographic Search page allows a user to search for a document based on either
Title, Author, Keyword or Contributor. It allows up to two search words with the option of using
both or just one of them.
The user selects the search basis from the drop down 'Search Field' list box that is displayed
if the down arrow is clicked with the mouse. The search words are then typed into
the available edit fields and the search button pressed.
After the search has occured, the total number of records that have
matched the search criteria is diplayed followed by a number of tables of
record summaries.
These record summaries contain the ID number of the bibliographic reference,
the document's authors and title, and the name of the journal or book that the
document comes from.
In order to open a particular document, click the ID number in the left most column.
