nelfood.com grew out of the Physical Properties of Food DataBase project.
This project was initiated to collect and make available on the internet reliable and useful data on Physical Properties of Foods.
The project was part funded by the EU, received commercial sponsership from Nestle, RHM and Unilever, was managed by Dr Paul Nesvadba, and the internet work was done by NEL.

Matrix of Values Help

This form is used to enter the data for properties that are being reported. It deals with the data collated on Table 6 of the Proforma for Data Entry to Database of Physical Properties of Foods version 6.1.

The format of the matrix depends on the primary and reported properties that were selected during the Building Tables of Experimental Data.

In all cases the left most column will be the primary property with its name and unit set displayed. There will be one and possibly more columns to the right of this primary column that will contain the material properties reported in the Matrix of Values section of Table 6 of the v6.1 proforma.

After each row of data is added, the Update button is pressed to store the data. Once the row has been stored

Existing data can be edited by moving to the cell in question, entering the corrected data, and pressing the update button.
