The nelfood.com Story
nelfood.com grew out of the Physical Properties of Food DataBase project.
This project was initiated to collect and make available on the internet reliable and useful data on Physical Properties of Foods.
The project was part funded by the EU, received commercial sponsership from Nestle, RHM and Unilever, was managed by Dr Paul Nesvadba, and the internet work was done by NEL.

Food Properties Database Overview

When you first connect to the website you are presented with the folowing page:

In order to access the forms click on either the graphic images or on the Blue links.

Use the Logon button to connect to the database.
You will be taken to a page that will request your username and pasword. Upon validation of the credentials you supply, you will be brought to the homepage.
From this page you can access the contents of the Foods DataBase.

If you have not already registered and wish to do so, use the Register as New User button to move to the registration form. Upon submission of your details, a password will be generated and sent to the supplied email address.
You can use your username and password immediately upon their receipt.

To access this help system, use the Knowledge Base button. Here you will find information of the database and this website.

If you cannot remember your password use the Remind Me button to request an email telling you what your forgotton password is.
This message will be sent to the email address that is currently stored with your profile.
For security purposes, the password is not displayed on screen.
